Writer George Martin (George r. R. Martin), most known as the creator of the fantasy-saga "Song of Ice and Fire", helped Fromsoftware In work on Elden Ring. Recently the game finally saw the light, and Martin devoted a post in his blog to this event.
This is how he spoke:
Waiting is over. Years later in the development Elden Ring I went out last week and began the assault on the game world.
But don’t listen to me. From Software https://sportsbettingmedia.co.uk/ attracted me to the creation of her world, so I can hardly claim objectivity.
Take a look at several reviews: [links to Western reviews]. And … well, there is still a lot. So many.
“Once for the generation” … “masterpiece” … “Beautiful and cruel” … “Rich open world” ..
Music for my ears.
Of course, this is almost completely a merit [leader From] Hideetaki Miyazaki [Hidetaka miyazaki] and his magnificent team of gam designers who worked on this game half a decade or longer, intending to create the best video game in history. It was an honor for me to meet and work with them and play a role, albeit small, in the creation of this fantastic world and creating Elden Ring like iconic megachitis, which she is.
In an interview for New Yorker Miyazaki explained that Martin wrote small texts about the history of the world, characters and mythology Elden Ring. According to the developer, they did not ask the writer to engage in a plot outline because for Fromsoftware More importantly, the game itself and the sensations from it:
In our games, history always serves game experience. If [Martin] wrote the plot of the game, I would be worried that we might have to deviate from it. I wanted him to write freely and not feel restrictions because of some unobvious mechanics that could change during the development.
Elden Ring Started extremely successfully. The novelty has become one of the highest -estimated games in history and one of the most popular entertainment in Steam. The picture was disturbed only by problems with performance on PC and consoles, but the developers assured that they were already looking for a way to improve it.
